LSEM's Introduction to Live Electronic Performance is an immersive, hands-on programme for DJs and producers who want to break away from the standard laptop or CDJ setup. Move beyond playing other people’s tracks or keeping your beats stuck in the studio, and start creating your sound in real-time using professional, club-ready hardware. Over four weeks of in-person training at Qube, Elephant & Castle, you will master the foundational language of synthesis and sequencing, learning how to perform live or seamlessly integrate drum machines and synths into your existing DJ sets. ⌁ 𝗜𝗻 𝗮 𝗻𝘂𝘁𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗹: ☑ Duration: 4-week immersion ☑ Start Date: Wednesday March 4th - 7-9pm ☑ Location: Qube, Elephant & Castle ☑ Group Size: Max 4 students ☑ Session Length: 2 hours per class ☑ Price: £365 ⌁ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂’𝗹𝗹 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 ☑ Mastery of professional grooveboxes (Elektron Model Samples & Elektron Model Cycles) ☑ Designing Acid basslines and analog leads (Behringer TD-3 & Behringer Crave) ☑ Step sequencing, rhythm programming, and live improvisation ☑ Technical confidence: Cabling, gain staging, and troubleshooting a live rig ☑ Recording and evaluating a live hardware performance ☑ Hybrid DJ mastery: Syncing hardware with CDJs and mixers ⌁ 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀: 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗮 & 𝗣𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗼. The Live Performance with Hardware course is led by Pablo Ranacat, the founder and director of LSEM, and Mattia Turchetti, the driving force behind the technological project M.F.S: Observatory. Together, they bring decades of combined experience in DJing, production and live performance, blending deep technical knowledge with a raw, underground ethos. Pablo’s 20+ years behind the decks and in the studio merge seamlessly with Mattia’s hypnotic, hardware-driven approach Each class is designed for small groups (maximum four students) to ensure personalised feedback and hands-on experience. Every session will be spent on the machines, completing practical exercises to improve your workflow, timing, and sound design. By the end of the course, you’ll record a live hardware jam, showcasing your new ability to create music on the spot.
